In the offshore wind farm, the wind environment is ultimately non-stationary, and the wind farm is off the land, so an optimized yaw control is very difficult, which causes the LOCE of offshore wind farms to be higher than the onshore wind farm. Self-learning yaw misalignment controlling based on the Kalman filter and deep reinforcement learning completely automates optimized yaw control via self-learning for complex offshore wind turbine conditions, so the LCOE of offshore wind farms can be sharply reduced. Here, the self-learning yaw misalignment controlling entity is called WECV (Wind Energy Cultivating Vijnana). Vijnana means consciousness in Sanskrit. Via WECV, we hope a fast energy transition from fossil to renewable to be accomplished.
